Ambetter PPO
You get to pick your own dentist for all your dental needs when you sign up for the Ambetter PPO plan. In-network and out-of-network access to dental care are provided by Ambetter PPO. A calendar year deductible is necessary for specific services under particular Ambetter PPO plans, and it reduces the out-of-pocket maximum. You or your family members’ copayments and deductibles for covered treatments and supplies apply toward your or your family’s out-of-pocket maximum.
Ambetter PPO plans include Platinum 90, Gold 80, Silver 70, Bronze 60, Bronze 60 HDHP, Minimum Coverage Ambetter PPO, Silver 73, Silver 87, and Silver 94.
Ambetter HMO
People who want a single dentist to organize their dental care at predictable prices can consider one of the Ambetter HMO plans. Your primary dentist is in charge of all aspects of your oral care as well as referrals or authorizations when specialty care is required. A calendar year deductible is necessary for specific services under particular Ambetter HMO plans, and it reduces the out-of-pocket maximum. You or your family members’ copayments and deductibles for covered treatments and supplies apply toward your or your family’s out-of-pocket maximum.
Ambetter HMO plans include Platinum 90, Gold 80, Silver 70, Bronze 60, Minimum Coverage Ambetter HMO, Silver 73, Silver 87, and Silver 94.
Adult Dental and Vision PPO
To improve your total health coverage, consider adding Adult Dental and Vision coverage from Health Net to your Ambetter PPO health plan. Dental coverage benefits include a large PPO network, no waiting periods, waived deductibles for diagnostic and preventive services.
Adult Dental and Vision HMO
You can choose to add optional adult dental and vision coverage with no deductibles to your Ambetter HMO health plan if you are over the age of 19 years old. Dental coverage benefits include an established network of credentialed dentists, preventive dental care provided at set copays or at no charge, orthodontic benefits, no annual maximums, and no waiting periods.

Tooth extractions are estimated to be 50% covered with the Ambetter PPO plan. With the Adult Dental and Vision PPO plan, oral surgeries, such as primary tooth extractions, are estimated to be 25% covered. There is no waiting period. Source
Health Net Dental covers Wisdom teeth removal?
With the Adult Dental and Vision PPO plan, wisdom tooth removal or the removal of impacted teeth has an estimated coverage of 25% for both in- and out-of-network. There is no waiting period for oral surgeries like wisdom teeth removal. Source
Does Health Net dental cover X-Rays?
Diagnostic dental care, such as bitewing x-rays, are estimated to be 100% covered with Ambetter HMO plan. This is limited to 1 per 12 month period and applicable only for in-network services. With Ambetter PPO, bitewing x-rays have an estimated coverage of 50% for both in-network and out-of-network. Source

Braces coverage is offered by Health Net dental HMO plans. With the Adult Dental and Vision HMO plan, there is an estimated $2,000 copay for comprehensive orthodontic treatment of the adult dentition, an estimated $220 copay for fixed appliance therapy, and an estimated $17 for routine orthodontic visits. This is limited to 24 months of usual and customary orthodontic banding. With Ambetter HMO plan, an estimate of $1,000 coinsurance or copay needs to be paid for comprehensive orthodontic treatment of the adolescent dentition handicapping malocclusion, fixed appliance therapy, pre-orthodontic treatment examination, periodic orthodontic treatment visit, orthodontic retention, removable orthodontic retainer adjustment, recement or re-bond fixed retainer (maxillary and mandibular), repair of fixed retainer including reattachment (maxillary and mandibular), and replacement of lost or broken retainer (maxillary and mandibular). With the Ambetter PPO plan, surgical placement of endosteal, transosteal, and mini dental implants are estimated to be 50% covered. Under Ambetter HMO, your copay is an estimated $350 for surgical placement of endosteal, transosteal, and mini implants. Source

With Ambetter PPO, removable partial dentures are 25% covered both in- and out-of-network. There is no waiting period. Under Ambetter HMO, you need to pay a coinsurance which is estimated to be $290 for major services like removable partials. With Ambetter PPO, preventive dental care like cleanings has an estimated coverage of 50% for in-network and out-of-network. There is no waiting period. You need to pay a coinsurance of estimated $8 for in-network dental cleanings under the Ambetter HMO plan. This coverage is limited to 2 cleanings per a 12 month period. Under the Ambetter PPO plan, minor restorative services such as tooth fillings, are estimated to be 50% covered for in-network and estimated to be 25% covered for out-of-network. There is no waiting period. With Ambetter HMO plan, there is an estimated $20 copay for in-network basic dental care like fillings. This is limited to 1 filling in a 12 month period.
