Renaissance dental has the following dental coverage plans available: Max Choice, Max Choice Plus, Plan II, and Plan III.
Renaissance dental coverage plans
Renaissance Dental plans feature great coverage. Covered dental services include preventive care like routine exams and cleanings as well as dental procedures such as crowns and dental implants. Their plans also give you the freedom to choose and visit any licensed dentist from their huge PPO network. You won’t have to deal with paperwork or wait for reimbursement since Renaissance Dental’s nationwide PPO network dental practices will fill out and submit your claims for you. Members may easily check their benefits information, select a participating dentist, print ID cards, and more on Renaissance Dental’s online member page, MyRenCoverage.
Renaissance Max Choice
The Renaissance Max Choice has no waiting periods for any covered dental services and offers a generous annual maximum of $1,200. After 3 years of coverage, benefits increase. This plan offers in-network benefits at a reduced reimbursement rate. Up until age 19, orthodontic benefits are included.
Renaissance Max Choice Plus
With no waiting periods and a three-year benefit coverage increase, Renaissance Max Choice Plus provides the same fantastic coverage as the Max Choice plan. You can also get the benefit of an increasing yearly maximum which rises to $3,000 in the third year of coverage.
Renaissance Dental Plan II
With Renaissance Dental Plan II, there are no waiting periods on preventive care including immediate coverage for cleanings twice a year. You can choose any licensed dentist, both in-network or out-of-network, and enjoy the same benefits. There are no deductibles for preventive services and the other dental services have a deductible for as low as $50. The annual maximum is $1,000. Covered dental services include dental exams, teeth cleanings, and dental x-rays, as well as more complex major services such as root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures, denture repairs, tooth fillings, gum disease treatment, and oral surgeries.
Renaissance Dental Plan III
With Renaissance Dental Plan III, there are no waiting periods on preventive care including immediate coverage for teeth cleanings and oral exams. The plan offers an estimated 100% coverage for diagnostic and preventive dental services when you visit a dentist in Renaissance’s large PPO network. There are no deductibles for preventive care while there is a low deductible of $50 for other dental services making the plan cost-effective. You also have the freedom to see any licensed dentist while saving money. There is a higher percentage of coverage for minor restorative work compared to Plan II. The annual maximum is $1,000.

Renaissance dental Max Choice and Max Choice Plus plans cover an estimated 20%-50% for simple extractions with no waiting period. The plan pays an estimated 20% after deductible in the 1st year, an estimated 40% after deductible in the 2nd year, and an estimated 50% after deductible in the 3rd year and after. Renaissance Dental Plan II pays an estimate of 50% after deductible for simple extractions including local anesthesia, suturing (if needed), and routine post-operative care with a 6 month waiting period. Plan II also offers an estimated 50% coverage for surgical tooth extractions with a 12 month waiting period. Renaissance dental Plan III offers an estimated 50%-80% for simple extractions including local anesthesia, suturing and post-operative care with a waiting period of 6 months. The plan pays an estimate of 80% in-network coverage after deductible and an estimate of 60% out-of-network coverage for simple tooth extractions. With Renaissance dental Plan III, surgical extractions are estimated to be 50% covered with a 12 month waiting period. Source
Renaissance Dental covers Wisdom teeth removal?
Oral surgeries, such as wisdom teeth removal, are estimated to be 50% covered with a waiting period of 12 months under Plans II and III. Renaissance dental Max Choice and Max Choice Plus plans cover an estimated 20%-50% for oral surgeries like wisdom teeth removal. The plan pays an estimated 20% after deductible in the 1st year, an estimated 40% after deductible in the 2nd year, and an estimated 50% after deductible in the 3rd year and after. Source
Does Renaissance Dental cover X-Rays?
With Renaissance dental Max Choice and Max Choice Plus plans, bitewing x-rays are payable once per calendar year while full mouth x-rays are covered under major services and payable once in any five-year period. The plan pays an estimated 40% after deductible in the 1st year, an estimated 60% after deductible in the 2nd year, and an estimated 80% after deductible in the 3rd year and after. Plan II offers an estimated 50% coverage for diagnostic and preventive services like bitewing x-rays with no waiting period. Bitewing x-rays are covered once per year under this plan while full mouth x-rays, which include bitewing x-rays, are covered once every 5 consecutive years. Plan III offers an estimated 80%-100% in-network coverage and an estimated 60%-80% out-of-network coverage for bitewing x-rays. X-rays for routine care or for diagnosis of a condition are estimated to be 80% covered for in-network and estimated to be 60% covered for out-of-network under Plan III. Source

Renaissance dental Max Choice and Max Choice Plus plans offer orthodontic coverage (including braces) for eligible dependent children up to age 19. Orthodontic benefits are estimated to be 10% in the 1st year, an estimate of 25% in the 2nd year, and an estimated 50% in the 3rd year. Orthodontic lifetime maximum is $1,200 per person. Deductibles don’t apply to orthodontic services. Source
Is Invisalign covered by Renaissance dental?

How much does Renaissance dental cover for Veneers?
Renaissance dental plans exclude coverage for cosmetic dentistry for aesthetic reasons (except reconstructive surgery for children because of congenital disease or anomaly). Veneers are not a covered service and all charges will be the member’s responsibility. Source

Minor restorative services like amalgam (silver) and composite resin (white) fillings are estimated to be 50% covered with a 6 month waiting period under Plan II. Renaissance dental Plan III offers an estimated 100% in-network coverage and an estimated 80% out-of-network coverage for diagnostic and preventive services such as cleanings.
